Executive Assistant Ninja
When Ruth joined our team, she already held plenty of experience as a virtual support pro. She’s also worked for the U.S. Army and the American Red Cross, coordinating complex projects and bringing diverse teams together. Her skills as a coordinator are unmatched, and when it comes to record keeping, budget monitoring, expense reporting, salesforce assistance, and travel arrangements, we know she’ll come through for our clients and get the job done.
Julia joined Equivity in early 2016. An experienced legal professional, Julia has worked as a legal assistant for the US Attorney's Office, legal secretary for two law firms and as a paralegal for the Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit organization offering programs and services for wounded US military veterans. At Equivity, Julia works on a wide variety of projects including transactional deals, family law, specialty projects and client services management. Julia earned her degree in Microbiology with a minor in English from Montana State University – Bozeman.
Human Resources Superhero
Jenn is Equivity’s HR Manager and joined the team in early 2017 with a background as an HR generalist and blogger. In addition to on-boarding new hires and managing the day-to-day HR functions of Equivity, Jenn oversees full cycle recruiting, strategic HR initiatives, implementation of policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines, as well as performance management and metrics. With over a decade of HR experience in both the public and private sectors, Jenn contributes regularly to HR blogs across the industry. She holds an M.A. degree in American Studies and an HR Management certificate from CSU Fullerton, as well as her PHR certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute of America.
With a BA in Marketing, a Masters in Graphic Design, and over 18 years of success in commercial and consumer applications, graphic designer Michelle brings invaluable insight and advertising experience to our team. She’s a passionate expert who supports her Equivity clients with high-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, WordPress, Social Media Marketing, Google Ad Words, Email Marketing, and Content Development. She’s enthusiastic about exploring new opportunities and helping companies grow their bottom line.
Sam is an expert in digital marketing and creative strategy. In additional to graphic design, social media and web design, Sam is also a talented writer. He does everything! Sam has a BA in Communications and Advertising from Saint Joseph’s University.
Systems Administrator Expert
As a seasoned Salesforce Administrator and Business Analyst, James knows how to provide complex project management support. He graduated from Framingham College in 2007 with a BS in Biochemistry and a minor in Mathematics, and since then, he’s played key roles in a wide range of projects including sales operations support, software implementation, vendor selection, marketing, and customer automation.
We recently welcomed a new paralegal to our team and we couldn’t be happier to have her on board! Preea has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Florida, and has experience in a variety of specialties from civil litigation to probate, criminal law, worker’s compensation and bankruptcy. She supports our clients from her home base in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Thea uses her BA from California State Northridge and her MBA from the University of Seattle to handle the diverse needs of her high-profile clients. Prior to joining Equivity, she served as the Assistant to the Executive Vice President and Senior VP of MED3000/McKesson, where she handled financial analysis, reporting, travel arrangements, and scheduling. She’s a capable project manager who thrives under pressure! Thea navigates virtual tasks and environments like the true expert she is.

As a Virtual Assistant with 12 years of experience, Alice supports business owners with specific projects and provides general daily assistant coverage. She designs PowerPoint presentation material, manages Excel spreadsheets, and organizes Google online documents. She also handles business development, social media network management, and research assistance. She can develop a CRM database system, maintain a business calendar, and process expense reports like a pro. We count on her for her broad-based expertise, and her clients do too.

She spends her days handling records, preparing financial statements, and making sure her clients are fully compliant with federal and state financial regulations. She also excels in customer service, data processing and relationship management.

As a highly organized Chief of Staff specializing in hospitality, travel and tourism, Shanna brings more than nine years of experience to our team. She’s a strategic planner, a project manager, a process designer, and a PR and crisis control pro. With her MBA and a BA from Hardin-Simmons University, she can be trusted with your calendar, your budget and the future of your growing business.

Kim isn’t just an expert Virtual Assistant; she’s an iPEC certified Professional Achievement Coach with more than 18 years of experience in complex administrative business support, human resource processes, talent management, project management, and event planning. She supports her Equivity clients with high-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, iLife and WebEx, among other platforms, and if there’s a task she can’t handle, we haven’t seen it yet.

After graduating from the University of North Carolina with a BA in Sociology, Kara launched her career as a legal assistant, later becoming an account manager and then beginning an ongoing 12- year tenure as a corporate administrator for a commercial development company. Her excellent business judgement and relationship building skills support her clients and move her teams forward.
Erica is a litigation paralegal with eight years of experience. She brings a well-rounded multidisciplinary approach to research, problem solving, and legal advocacy. She handles a variety of litigation work including propounding and responding to written discovery requests, drafting demand letters and briefs for arbitration, and legal research in personal injury matters. Additionally, she spent two years with an Oregon legal aid agency assisting a mostly pro per clientele in domestic violence restraining order matters. Erica holds a BS and an MS in Biology from the University of Oregon.
As an Advanced NALA Certified paralegal registered by the Florida Bar and a licensed title insurance manager in Chicago and Naples Florida, Maria supports clients who manage law firms, serve as attorneys, or need legal support for their growing businesses. She obtained her paralegal certification from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL, and since that time she’s specialized in marital and family law, legal writing, appeals and mediation in the State of Florida. She’s a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants and she can provide a wide range of support, from document review to notary services.
Jennifer is a marketing expert with a wide ranging background specializing in graphic design, email marketing, web design, content writing, social media and PPC advertising. Basically, she does everything! Jennifer lives in the Nashville, Tennessee area and earned her Bachelor’s degree from UT Chattanooga in Communications.
Kiah has nearly 15 years of experience as a Litigation Support Specialist and Paralegal. She specializes in civil litigation, legal research, case management, client interfacing and deposition and trial development work. She has worked in multiple law firms in Maryland and New York. Kiah holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations from Lincoln University.
Deborah is a detail-oriented Certified Paralegal with over 20 years of litigation experience, a proven track record of effective assistance to attorneys and 31 years of extensive office administration experience. She doesn’t miss a detail, and her in-depth knowledge of local, state and federal court rules will keep your documents in order and your casework on track.
As a certified paralegal, Marla cite checks briefs at all levels (state, federal and appellate), and reviews documents for compliance with BlueBook standards and local rules. She also reviews citations for accuracy and applicability of the laws cited. She has experience with California state cases in several jurisdictions, both district and appellate, and she’s familiar with California Rules of Style. On the IP side, she registers trademarks and assists in trademark litigation, including cite checking briefs and trial preparation and assistance.
Executive Assistant Maestro
With a BS in Management and Information Systems from Queens University, Louise launched her career in 2012 as the Executive Assistant to the Global COO and Global Head of Execution for Barclay’s Bank. Since then, she’s gone on to serve as the executive assistant to highly influential banking executives and operations directors for global organizations. Now she works for our clients, handling schedule management, expense auditing, contract invoicing, report preparation and more. If you need it done, Louise can do it. Nothing stands in her way.

Wendi has an expertise in a wide range of specialties including executive assistance, bookkeeping, event planning, office management and marketing and sales support. She's done everything from providing administrative assistance, to being a business owner! Wendi earned her Bachelor's of Science from Old Dominion University.
Creative and energetic Digital Marketing professional with technical background and design experience. She excels in e-commerce, graphic design, web design, branding and marketing strategy. Lamia holds of Bachelor's of Science degree from UMass Lowell.

Cathy has a wide range of experience in Florida as a legal assistant, administrative, office management, and in marketing. She has worked at law firms and real estate as well. Basically, Cathy has done it all! Cathy holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida International University.
Nicole is a highly experienced paralegal with over 10 years of experience at a variety of Bay Area law firms. In addition to her legal work, she is also a former professional global soccer player! Nicole earned her bachelor's degree in Sociology from San Diego State University and a Master's degree in Sports Management from the University of Stirling in Stirling, Scotland.
Shanika earned her Master of Fine Arts degree in Media Design. Shanika brings high level experience in email marketing, social media, branding, and PPC campaigns to the team.
Sean lives outside of Denver, and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Recreation & Sports Business from The University of Iowa. Sean has wide-ranging expertise that spans from creative media, videography, photography, graphic and web design.
Peegy has earned her JD from San Joaquin College of Law, and lives in Central California. Her specialties include family law, civil litigation, estate planning, municipal law, business formation, juvenile dependency, and criminal law.
Jessica earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies from the University of North Florida where she lives. Her her specialties include estate planning, immigration, family law, contracts, litigation, real estate and personal injury just to name a few!
Mari brings experience in legal assistant duties as well as organization, adaptability, and multi-tasking skills to the table. She earned her degree in Criminal Justice at Florida International University, and lives outside of Miami, Florida.
Nicole has several years of experience working as a virtual paralegal and is especially well-versed in litigation, family law, criminal law, personal injury, real estate law, and social security claims. Nicole earned her paralegal degree from Empire College in Santa Rosa, CA and finished up her Bachelor’s degree through the University of Phoenix focusing on criminal justice administration.

Leslie is a dedicated legal secretary and paralegal, with experience in a variety of law firms, specializing in everything from litigation to family law to personal injury. Leslie impresses our team and her clients with her consistency, thoroughness, and attention to detail. Leslie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies from Tulane University and has worked for law firms from Louisiana to Massachusetts. She’s an integral member of our legal assistant team here at Equivity.
Allison brings a variety of digital marketing skills to our team, including copywriting, social media management, and email marketing campaigns. Allison’s clients and co-workers often cite her teamwork and reliability as strengths that make her invaluable to the team. Allison earned her Bachelor’s degree in marketing management from University of St. Thomas and is a diehard Minnesota Vikings fan.
Parlee is a skilled paralegal and legal secretary with extensive experience in Texas law firms specializing in estate planning, probate law, and real estate law. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a legal emphasis from Texas A&M – Commerce. Parlee is an enthusiastic team player, willing to help out with projects and take on new clients to support them with administrative and paralegal knowledge and expertise.
Rosalie is our expert email marketing automation expert at Equivity, having joined our team in late 2018. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Kent State University and brings extensive experience in traditional and non-traditional marketing strategies, giving her an ideal balance of “high-tech” and “high-touch” when working with clients. Rosalie has worked in a variety of industries, including financial, small business, and tech.
Kata brings a diverse skillset in digital marketing to our team. Kata specializes in social media management, email automation, E-Commerce, PPC campaigns, and SEO. Kata earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from University of Iowa. She is a Chicago Cubs fan with experience working as a marketing expert in the Big Apple.

Bobbi-Anne is a career executive assistant, having started her career in the field and never looking back since! Bobbi-Anne frequently hears from clients that she “brings order to chaos” and has a “get it done” mentality and tenacity that she brings to the team. Rebecca is one of our resident bookkeeping experts at Equivity. She has worked within a variety of industries, from start-ups to large financial corporations to transnational professional services organizations. Rebecca holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and prides herself on her client relationship building skills, as well as her strong attention to detail. Rebecca is a financial service professional who can meet the needs of our clients from small businesses to large organizations needing assistance with everyday bookkeeping or financial reporting on a monthly basis. She has a Big 4 audit and consulting background, and views her skills as a way to make a significant financial and operational impact within growing organizations.
A Word Wizard
Lucie has been working in the communications, writing, and marketing fields for over twenty years, and brings her expertise in the written word to our team at Equivity as well as our clients in need of copywriting, editing, blogging, and much more. Lucie holds a Ph.D. in Human Communication Studies from the University of Denver, and broad experience in communications, editing, writing, public relations, and research within the private sector as well as non-profit organizations and educational institutions. She has been doing freelance writing as well as editing work for the past several years and has experience writing across industries, including healthcare, insurance, technology, education, business, and leadership. Lucie prides herself on her adaptability to the needs of her clients, her exceptional efficiency, and her ability to adopt the voice of her client in the written pieces she creates to boost marketing initiatives and produce quality results for companies through her writing. Lucie is an integral member of our digital marketing team, and she is a true joy to work alongside.
Christine is a top-notch paralegal, who has been praised for her skills in legal research, attention to detail, litigation management, and ability to support attorneys in a fast-paced, deadline-intensive environment. Krystal is one of our rock star legal executive assistants at Equivity. Krystal is familiar with several practice management software programs and easily adapts to the needs of multiple attorneys within a firm. Krystal is a strong writer, a multi-tasker, and a stickler for detail. She’s proficient in administrative processes in a law firm setting from processing payroll to accounts payable and receivable, to billing time to clients, to managing multiple calendars and everything in between.
